This is exactly what happened to little Marjanca, who has been laughing constantly since she was born.
But a cracked butt is a terrible thing and Marjanca stopped laughing. She burst into grief and weeping that did not cease for weeks.

Meet Marjanca. The girl is still small, but her laughter is VERY loud and no one can stop it.

When her parents call the doctor at home, she unfortunately discovers that her buttocks have burst from the excessive laughter.

Will the girl ever laugh again? Housekeeper Olga has a plan.

Otto is a mosquito who doesn't suck blood as other mosquitos, he is a Vegetarian. He falls in love with a true bloodsucker. To conquer her love, he needs prove himself by bringing her blood.

 

But easier said than done. Sight of blood makes him dizy.

The determent search in the summer camp almost gets him killed by newspaper, insecticides, fire and claws of a cat.

 

After his escape he get's a brilliant idea how to solve the problem.

 

Otto: a warmhearted, funny hero who can't help to but find trouble and adventure whenever he goes and would do anything for love.

The Elephant and Castle

Indian elephant Ganga lives in her very own castle in the middle of London. Nothing makes her happier than freshly baked cookies.

 

 

The castle is getting tighter day by day with him growing bigger and bigger. When his favourite bakery moves to the other side of the city, he tries to reach it, but he is just too large to ride in a taxi cab, a bus or a train.

 

 

Ganga finds a solution by ordering his cookies by phone but makes a mistake of ordering a mountain of cookies which are delivered to his castle the very next day.

 

 

Will he be able to hold back?

 

Find out in the new illustrated children book by award winning author Andrej Grilc "Elephant and Castle". A story about a hungry adorable elephant who knows how to live his life to the fullest in a city just too small for his size.

Andrej Grilc, born 1984, Slovenian award winning writer and photographer living in Vienna, Austria. In 2003 he published the poetry book Synapsis. He finished his studies at the University of Ljubljana. He performed more than 50 international projects combining literature and visual art. He publishes in main domestic and foreign publications and anthologies. He won first prizes for his literature at home and abroad. After moving to Vienna in 2013 he became a freelance photographer and in the last few years he is exploring his interest in children's literature. In 2019 his first children's book „The Girl Who Laughed Too Much“ with illustrations by Nea Likar was published.

2011  First prize on International Poetry competition “Tracce”, Italy

2010 First prize for the most original poetry collection NY in the competition held by Ekslibris Publishing house.

2009 Nomination for Lirikon’s “Herbersteinski zlat” for best translation of

contemporary poetry into Slovenian language.

2008 Chosen as one of the 21 best Slovenian poets by Lirikon magazine.

2004 Scholarship for talented students of Township Domžale for the poetry

collection Sinapsis.
